Samsung laptops, known for their sleek design and high performance, offer an array of tools to capture screenshots. Whether you're assembling a how-to guide, saving a snapshot of an important conversation, or illustrating a software problem, screenshots are the ultimate quick-reference tool that lets you capture moments exactly as they appeared on your screen. I'll have to see if that works. In our digital era, the ability to capture and share on-screen content quickly and efficiently has become a vital tool for productivity. There was no page file and I just added it so that the system manages it. I might show this thread to others and see if anyone has any smart ideas So you checked shadowplay? Don't mean to repeat but until i know you have, I won't be sure. I would have thought it is flushed pretty quick. One thing doesn't change, how is PC somehow taking screenshots from the past? Makes me wonder what the PC does with the old data that was produced by the GPU and outputted to monitor. Try running HDTune on the ssd's and look on the health tab and allow it to run a smart scan on them. If page file is on the 128gb ssd, try putting it on the 500gb one instead and see if it makes any difference - don't download anything, just showing a guide: Win 10 likely to save the screenshots on a drive instead. especially if you playing games at time and most of your ram would be used for game + other background processes. I think the image it is saving is located on page file. He was getting images from 5 minutes before, not 30 seconds. Is win 10 on the 128gb ssd? How old is it?įrom the way I read that old thread of mine, the problem could be the page file itself. I was thinking the system could be getting bogged down. That blows that suspicion out of the water. + Samsung 860 EVO 500GB 2.5" SATA III Internal SSD MZ-76E500B/AM I use GIMP 2 to edit the screenshots.Įquipment: + CPU: Intel i7-3770K LGA1155 w/ Corsair Hydro H50 CPU Liquid Cooler I think it could be 15-30 seconds in the past. Until you find a solution This can be a band-aid. I'd verify your suspicion a couple more times. Does anyone know why there's a delay when using the print screen key?Īre you positive that it's exactly 30 seconds? You said or so. Or more pragmatically, it's as if Windows takes internal image shots constantly and pulls up an image from X seconds prior to when you hit print screen. It's as if the Snipping Tool went back in time to press print screen sooner than I actually did it. Just in case, I checked to see if it may have had something to do with the Delay set in Snipping Tool, but there's no delay set there in case it somehow overrode the print screen capture. It's highly bizarre - it's one thing if it was forward in time as that would be a delay. For some reason, when I press print screen, I get what was on the screen 30 seconds or so IN THE PAST. I often take screenshots using the print screen key next to scroll lock in game for bug report purposes.
